BREAKIRON Puts New Spin on Diamond Backs
Logo.
PHOENIX - It's bottom of the 9th and Charlie Breakiron steps up to
the plate... Well not quite but, Breakiron Animation & Design
has been asked to put new spin on an existing logo. Metropolitan Audio-Visual
contracted Breakiron Animation&Design to create an animated special
effect for Bank One Ball Park's JumboTron monitor. The animation required
reworking the logo bringing it into a 3D environment.
Ramon Plaza acted as the Producer for the project. His experience
includes a decade with NBC Sports, President of Ramon Plaza Productions,
Marketing Specialist with the Arizona Diamondbacks and most recently,
President of Ramon Plaza Consultants.
Metropolitan Audio-Visual...
A pronounced uptown video post production facility located in North
Scottsdale has over 30 years
of experience and prides itself on having
the equipment you need, up to date and well maintained. Not only do
you get the best rates in town, but also friendly service from a knowledgeable
staff.
"In order to pull
this off successfully we need to utilize the depth from a 3D system"
exclaimed Terry O' Neal Senior Editor at MetroAV. "We chose Charlie
because of his quality 3D work, I was particularly impressed with
the "AT&T Blueline Guy" animation".
"Forced perspective
in the illustrated logo made it nearly impossible to animate in 3D
environment. So I took the time to recreate a 3D version with full
range of uses," says Breakiron. Modeling, animation and rendering
were completed within 4 days. Although, MetroAV is practically next
door, animation previews and testing were sped up with the use of
the Internet and Breakiron's web site.
Special thanks
to Ludo Michaud (Render God) for his help on reducing rendering times.
