EARTH BLOWS

Earth is gone and all that is left is a swirl of gases. I created the gases by animating a 3D proceedural texture and mapping the sequence files onto grids. The moon was created using Softimage NURBS and flock animation. Kelly Nelson, (3D Animator) assisted in some of the particle effects and David Munier, (Senior 3D Animator) animated the rocks flying by camera and into the distance. Chris Kazmier, (Directing 3D Animator) Created the white explosion and linear cloud formation in Maya. I did the title in Softimage using FX Director and a single light source from behind the logo to achieve the volumetric effect with shadows. Chris also added some particles with Maya to enhance the effect.
